❤ Gil hledá domov ❤
Gil, kocourek, přibližně 1.5 roku starý. Je čipovaný, očkovaný a kastrovaný. FIV a FeLV negativní.
Gil byl zachráněn z Kataru. Nejenže zcela normální kočky nemají v Kataru šanci najít domov, Gil měl šanci ještě menší, protože je slepý. Kromě toho, že je Gil slepý, je to normální a hravý kocourek. Je to výjimečná dušička. Teď, když je konečně řádně vykastrovaný, ukazuje Gil své pravé úžasné já.
Gil je rád mezi lidmi. Užívá si mazlení a spoustu pozornosti. Kvůli své slepotě bude možná potřebovat trochu více času, aby si zvykl v novém domově, ale jinak je to normální kocourek jako každý jiný. Gil se dobře snáší s koťaty, ale zatím jsme neměli možnost vyzkoušet ho s dospělými kočkami. V Kataru ho ostatní dospělé kočky šikanovaly. Se psy vychází v pohodě.

Meet Gil, male, 1.5 years old, he is microchipped, castrated, vaccinated and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.
Gil is a rescue from Qatar. Not only do completely normal cats have no chance of finding a home in Qatar, Gil’s chances are even worse because he is blind. Apart from being blind, Gil is a normal and playful cat. 😻 Gil is a very special cat to us. Now that he is finally properly castrated, Gil shows his true wonderful self.
Gil loves being around people. He enjoys cuddles and lots of attention. Because of his blindness, he might need a bit more time to adjust in a new place, but other than that Gil is a normal cat. Gil is fine with kittens, but we haven’t had the chance to test him with older cats. Back in Qatar Gil was bullied by adult cats. Gil is fine with dogs.🐾

Gil has had it quite hard in his short little life 😔
Firstly, he’s blind and if that wasn’t enough he has recently had to undergo two major surgeries 😔
Gil was in foster care where he was marking, peeing out of his litter box and occasionally was aggressive. We realised something was wrong and after examination, found he had a UTI. This was cured but the problems didn’t stop 😔
He came back to the sanctuary while his foster family went away for the holidays. That’s when we realised his pee was strong smelling, the same as an unneutered tom cat 🤢 Gil was supposed to have been neutered in Doha and Valerie who rescued him paid for the surgery and trusted the vet.
Our vet thought we were crazy when we requested a hormone test. There was no junk in his trunk, so even she thought he’d been neutered. The test didn’t lie, we were not crazy! Poor Gil had high testosterone. His baubles were inside, this is known as Cryptorchid 😔
Gil had his first surgery to remove them, one testicle was found in the inguinal canal and the other was atrophied in the abdomen. After some days Gil’s wound became infected and he had to have a second surgery 😔
We are happy to say that Gil has had his stitches out and is making a full recovery ❤️ His pee is now a normal smell 🙏 He has stopped marking and peeing outside the box 🙏 And his aggression has gone and he is back to being a sweet kitty ❤️
Gil is still looking for his forever home or a foster as he adores people and really needs company. Please consider giving this boy a chance 🙏
